Touchwood Quilt Design started in Spring 2001 to create designs for quilters who place tremendous value on their families, time and creativity. With step-by-step illustrated instructions and fun twists on classic styles, Touchwood Quilt Design inspirations have found their way into the homes and classrooms of tens of thousands of quilters.
As an award-winning art director for print media, Anne brings talents in illustration, design, copywriting and communications to Touchwood. Always interested in art and crafts, she learned rotary cutting techniques in 1997 and she's been quilting ever since. Her experiences planning an annual quilt retreat for friends led to a book, Time To Quilt! Fun Quilts and Retreat Ideas for 1 to 101, published by Martingale & Co. in April 2003 and now in its third printing. In July 2005, a second title inspired by the generous nature of quilters was released: Joined At The Heart: Quilting for Family & Friends, also from Martingale & Company. She has continued to work with Martingale as a contributor to their Creative Quilt Collection volumes, as well as developing designs for the Touchwood line of patterns.
In January 2007 Anne's mom, Mimi Teters, joined Touchwood to fulfill orders, ship trunk shows, and work with our quilt shop customers to answer their needs. Anne's dad, Jack Teters, has taken over billing and accounting tasks. Their help has allowed Anne to return to the joys of designing and writing, as well as plan for future projects!
Touchwood Quilt Design is proud to support Quilts For Kids, a non-profit organization providing quilts and comfort to abused children in the Northwest, since it's inception in 2003.
